The tree of the month competition
1 point for each member entering a tree and 1 additional point for the tree of the month
A prize will be awarded before the Christmas Social to the member with the most points
January 15th
Simon Temblett will be demonstrating and discussing root over rock bonsai.
February 19th
Society workshop repotting the larch forest and discussing design ideas for Southport Flower Show.
March 18th
Bernard Morris will give a demonstration on repotting to be followed by a workshop.
April 15th
Bonsai Question Time. A panel of experienced members will offer advice and ideas on problem trees brought to the meeting.
May 20th

June 17th
Demonstration and talk by Marco Invernizzi, one of the best bonsai artists in Europe and student of the Japanese Bonsai Master, Masahiko Kimura.
July 15th
The Society's Annual Members' Show : the categories to include novice, trees in training, best broad leaf, best conifer and best landscape. This will be followed by the presentation of annual trophies and certificates for the category winners.
August 19th
Tree selection and design in preparation for Southport Flower Show.
September 16th
Arnold Davies : Topic to be decided
October 14th
Diane Keefe will discuss general maintenance issues.
November 18th
The Society's bonsai auction. Bring your trees, pots, tools or books you no longer use and raise yourself some extra cash! 10% of the sale price payable to The National Bonsai Society.

December 16th
The Annual General Meeting, followed by the Christmas Social and Buffet.
